18% increase in November on property sales in Malta, according to the local Developers’ Association
During 2019, transacted property prices at Malta continued their upward trend, registering a year-on-year growth rate of 4.5 per cent in real terms
The COVID-19 pandemic is likely to leave its mark in the real estate market too.
Property sales in November 2020 were 18 per cent better than at the same month of 2019, the Malta Developers' Association has communicated.
Preliminary data shows that 1,245 promises of sale were registered at Malta in November this year, an increase over the same month of 2019. The value of property sales registered last month, reached €274 million, an increase of €41 million on November 2019," the association said.
In terms of value the increase was also 18 percent.
MDA President Sandro Chetcuti commented that while in the current circumstances the results of November 2020 were encouraging, the COVID-19 pandemic is likely to leave its mark in the real estate market too.
