We have prepared a list of tips for how to make the most out of your international viewing trip

Prior to booking your viewing trip, be sure to sit down and establish a number of things that you want to achieve during your trip. Your trip to be more effective and prevent yourself from wasting your time, we propose that first you work out answers to the following:

Where do you want to buy?
You can't plan a viewing trip without knowing your destination. You don't need to know the exact street you wish to move to, but at least narrow down to an area If the internet doesn't provide you with the answers you need, speak with a property agent specialist in the location you are interested at.

Your budget?
You need to work out your budget in local currency. You need to plan for the purchase price of the property, factor in for the property transfer tax or VAT, administration costs, legal fees, estate agents fees, all that is payable on top of the asking price. Knowing your budget from the outset means that you can plan viewing properties that are in your price range.

What type of property do you want?
There's no point viewing rural properties if you want to be within walking distance of your morning coffee fix. Working out what kind of property you want and all of the specific features that you desire will help your agent to narrow down the search. The more detailed you can be, the better. Are you a DIY person and would like to add a personal touch to the property you are planning to purchase or you prefer keys in hand and move in approach? Do you prefer a modern instead of traditional building?
