Held annually each September at the Malta International Airport (ex: RAF Luqa) , the Malta International Air Show, one of Malta's largest outdoor events, has gained the well-earned reputation as one of Malta's top outdoor family events, now in it's 23rd edition. The Malta International Airshow is the result of strong lobbying from the Malta Aviation Society for many years until approval was given to hold the first display in September of 1993. The 2015 edition is promising to be another successful air show, since lobbying and discussions are underway with many countries to confirm participation. Two Aerobatic Teams namely the Polish Orlik Team and the Swiss PC-7 Team will grace our skies. Added to them the thrills from the Belgian Air Force F-16Demo Team and the helicopter displays by the Italian Air Force. The Royal Navy's Helicopter display Team the Black Cats shall also be present.
