Folklore Festival-an August full of emotions in Val Gardena, Dolomites, Italy

Val Gardena isn't all about nature and breathtaking sceneries set against the backdrop of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Val Gardena is a lot more.

August, with its sunny days and pleasant evenings, also has a raft of events for your holiday entertainment. 'Gröden in Tracht' Folklore Festival (Val Gardena in traditional costume) was held on August 7 in Selva Val Gardena.

Another highlight is on August 12 in Ortisei with the concert "Giorgio Moroder Back to Val Gardena". The world-renowned music producer and composer turns back to his hometown with an unique tribute show. Giorgio Moroder produced and composed the film songs like Flashdance, 12 at night - Midnight Express, Scarface, American Gigolo, The Neverending Story, Top Gun and many more world-famous songs. He is the proud owner of three Oscars for best film music. He also composed the official Olympic song for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles and Seoul. Giorgio Moroder in his career has collaborated with numerous sizes of the music business, as with Elton John, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Barbra Streisand and Cher.
The music producer turns back giving a spectacular tribute to Ortisei. His birthplace has devoted him an exhibition and a tribute show, in which the "father of disco" will be personally behind the mixer.

Numerous special events are awaiting you in Val Gardena also on "Ferragosto in Val Gardena" from the 14 till the 18 of August.
