he Maratona dles Dolomites is a road-bike marathon in the Dolomites with start and finish in Alta Badia.
The first Maratonof the Dolomites event took place in 1987. 166 cyclists from Italy, Germany and Austria took part in the race. The number of participants increased from year to year. In 1990 it was just under 1,000 participants, rising to just over 6,000 in the mid-1990s. Today the number has had to be limited to 9,000 enthusiastic cyclists who get the chance each year to take part in this unique and world famous marathon. Just how remarkable this success story is can be seen from the fact that in 2014 there were over 31,000 applications from would-be participants!

10.30 a.m.“Maratona for Kids" by Sportful at the arrival area of the Maratona.
Bike race for children between 6 and 12 years (maximum 400 participants). See our future champions at the arrival. The use of the safety helmet is compulsory. The mountain bike is recommended. Please be aware that no bikes and helmets will be rented on the spot. Registration is possible only on Saturday morning, starting at 9 a.m., directly at the event location. The cost is 5 euro per child, and all the proceeds will be donated for the care of orphans and HIV-positive Ugandan children in Lyra.

9.30 a.m. - 3 p.m.“Kids park" opening at the arrival zone in Corvara: animation, winning-games and much more. Parents' presence is not required.
From 9 a.m.visit our fan zone in the centre of La Villa. The live TV broadcast will be shown on a maxi-screen with drinks, snacks and music. Gadgets will be distributed as long as stocks last.
From 10 a.m.arrival of the first racers of the Medium course.
From 11 a.m.arrival of the first racers of the Maratona course.
From 11 a.m.“Rana" Pasta Party at the arrival area in Corvara.
4 p.m.icestadium Corvara: official prize giving ceremony for category and trophy winners with music entertainment and lots of fun!
