Experience the charm of the Dolomites in a responsible, eco-friendly and sustainable way
In the international year of sustainable tourism proclaimed by the United Nations Alto Adige – Südtirol and Trentino have launched the project #Dolomitesvives with the intent to enhance and protect the territory of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage site.
From the 5th July to the 30th August the Sella pass will be closed for cars and motorbikes every Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm. The pass height can be reached on foot, by bike, with the lifts facilities and with local buses.
On the nine Wednesdays in July and August, the Sella pass becomes a natural amphitheater for musical happenings, gastronomic events and guided hikes to explore the geology and landscape of the Dolomites.
The initiative ends with a culinary highlight. On Wednesday 30th August , the grand finale with the "Cook the Mountain - Dolomites Taste Tour" during which great masters of high-cuisine will present their culinary creations.
