Ice runners are looking forward to mirror-covered ice sheets at the frozen lakes of Carinthia.

The Aichwaldsee, Hörzendorfer See, Längsee and the Klagenfurt Lendkanal are usually released for ice skating.

At Lake Hörzendorfer there are 5 ice-hockey arenas and an ice-skating rink with 200 pairs of ice skates, ice hockey sticks, pucks, helmets, sleds and ice slides. With five hockeypypes, a large 2.5 km long and a small 1.5 km long circular track, there is nothing to stop the ice-skating on Lake Längsee. Free admission is called at the Aichwaldsee and the Klagenfurt Lendkanal.
