Christmas markets in the South Tyrolean Dolomites, Italy

The Christmas markets in Alta Badia are characterized by peacefulness, Ladin culture and tradition

The Christmas markets are an important part of the Christmas tradition in South Tyrol. In cities such as Bolzano/Bozen, Merano/Meran, Bressanone/Brixen and Brunico/Bruneck, Christmas markets are an established reality.

For some years even Alta Badia, the Ladin valley in the South Tyrolean Dolomites, offers visitors two enchanting Christmas markets, inspired by the Ladin culture and tradition.

The traditional wooden stalls, set up in the center of the villages of Corvara and San Cassiano, create the particular romantic atmosphere. In the pedestrian centre of San Cassiano and in the centre of Corvara, you can go for a walk, admire the winter Dolomites' landscape, taste local specialities and watch the local artisans in action making some of their creations in front of you.

We have a variety of luxury and bargain-rental and sale properties in the Dolomites area and our staff is on hand to assist with finding you the appropriate residence in this exceptionally beautiful part of Italy all year round.
